Beltane Gathering - May Day!
Date: May 2, 2026
Time: 4-6 pm
Location: Dandelion Spring Farm | 961 Ridge Rd, Bowdoinham, ME 04008
Let the sun shine in as we gather together and celebrate Beltane in community at The Hive!
Beltane (also known as May Day) is a time of fertility, creativity, growth, and connection to the natural world. The days grow brighter and longer as the sun warms the earth with its rays, encouraging flowers to bloom and magic to blossom. To honor this turning in the wheel of the year, we'll create an altar, build a mini-maypole, and enjoy an outdoor bonfire with a purification ritual.
Expect to tune into the energy of this powerful moment in the cycle of the seasons, connect with others, and learn about the culture and traditions of this magical holiday.
Citrus Sun Cakes and herbal tea will be served.
Bring a cushion to sit on or opt for a provided chair.
Instructor: Maya Rook
Maya Rook loves creating space for community to come together during potent moments throughout the year and explore the energy that is currently arising. She is the creator of Firefly Studio and offers wellness classes throughout Midcoast and Southern Maine. Her sessions are informed by her experiences as a yoga and meditation teacher, practitioner of natural magic and Tibetan Buddhism, and work as a cultural historian. Participants have described Maya’s approach to rituals and gatherings as welcoming, magical, creative, and grounding. You will walk away with a deeper connection to yourself and others, awareness of the turning of the seasons, and fresh perspectives in how you view the world around you.
