Learn about introducing edible mushrooms into your garden spaces. Participants will learn how to inoculate their garden beds with mushroom spawn, and how to create an environment suitable for mushroom cultivation.
We will outline the steps on how to go from a mushroom mycelium culture to an inoculated, ready to go bag of sawdust. We will then demonstrate how to take the myceliated sawdust and inoculate a garden bed and wood chips. We will discuss how to care for, and what to expect from your newly inoculated garden space.
Additional information on various species suitable for garden spaces will be discussed.
Participants will each receive one inoculated sawdust spawn bag, and take home instructions discussed in class.
