Instructor’s Bio:

Emily Bell-Hoerth began her working life as a naturalist, outdoor educator, and elementary school teacher. After a life-changing injury, Emily has found new ways of engaging with the natural world that include farming, painting, and dyeing. She is fascinated and passionate about the ways in which creating with natural dyes draws out your inner scientist and artist simultaneously. Natural dyeing promotes a greater appreciation for the environmental and human resources that go into creating textiles that so many take for granted. You can find Emily’s artwork under her business, Bellearth Studio.
